View Full Version : Quiet Exhaust

Hey all,
I am looking to pipe my R. I want to go with a slip-on and it needs to be under 93db. The Fun Police here are ticket happy when they want to be so I want to stay in legal range. I have heard that White Bros E-2 and Yoshi can be made to be as quiet as it gets. Does anyone have experience with these pipes and what do you think?? Can thay really be made to be quiet and still perform?

I would say the only truely quite exhuast is stock. other then that try hmf with quite core but i think that along with the wb e-2 is only 96 dbs. the yosihmura tec kit insert i think is in the high 80s

I have the yoshi and I have the quiet cores. I have never installed the quiet cores in this bike, but on the z the bigger of the 2 inserts seemed pretty quiet. I see yoshi has a new quiet core available(they told me middle of october last month) that is suppose to provide good power and still be quiet.

LTE racing exausts is a full system that is making great power, and makes dB in OR. My 450R is right around 44-45hp with their system, and the sound is clean and crisp.

This is all that I currently have of the R with the exaust on it. The guy on there isn't me, but a friend who is a better rider, so he got the honor to ride it.

Is it a dual exhaust like all the others on the website? How loud is it?

It is just like the systems on the site. The 450R with the quiet cores was sub 92dB, tested in OR at dune fest. My 400EX with the quiet cores is 89dB, or close to that. The sound that is playing is a nice deep crisp sound!

I beleive that it is in the mid 700's, mine has been the test unit for the system. You can give them a call and they can give you the latest and greatest info.

Stock is like 83, or somewhere close. and the HRC tip takes it up to 93'ish.
