extended swing arm

i have a +1.25 inch laeger swingarm on my 400ex. the ride is really rough. it seems bumpy and jerky. maybe this is normal. i am running an elka rear shock too. the shock isn't exactly set up for the swingarm, so maybe that is the difference. i am 145 lbs and the shock is set up for a 160 lb rider on a stock swingarm. i haven't bottomed out the shock yet so that isnt' a problem. just looking for suggestions.

What seems bumpy and jerky? Landings, whoops, corners?

just small bumps in general. the jumps don't seem too bad. for example, riding through a corn field is pretty jerky. i am wondering if this is just the nature of an extended swingarm.

It must be in your shock setup. I dont mine being rough or jerky over small bumps. When you do get the shocks setup for your self it makes a pretty big diffrence.
