im doing my 450r up race ready over the winter and im looking into front ends. I'm stuck between Houser or JB racing. I've heard good things about both. Houser is a little more expensive. I've also heard the heim joints go often when you get sand and wat not in them which wouldn't b good cuz im gonna be running southwick. I'm also aware Roll and Walsh run heim joints also and there top notch.Dollar for dollar and performance wise what would you guys recommend and why>?

JB for mx hands down. But you can also buy Laeger ball joint LT arms for the same price.

There both nice arms.
But I like the housers a little better, the housers seem to have a beter pivot bushing and they have grease zerks already inserted. The Houser heims have dust covers now so they should last a good while.

If i was buying new lt a-arms, I wold get the laegers though.

Jody at JB makes Leager a arms... They are so damn close, except for the T-pin...

JB would be the way to go, and they come with grease zerks for the poivt area as well... You will get about 12.5 inchs of wheel travel i believe, using a 20 inch shock on the LT set up...
A lot of Pro are running the JB stuff...
enough said...

Jb and laeger are both well made but they are both diffrent. Only thing that is the same are the ball joints.

Wheres the zerks?

Different? Jody Bateman practically jigged up Laeger LT ball joint arms. Just cause Jody doesnt use zerks doesnt mean they are all that different. Still good arms though.

I didnt say they were bad a-arms im just say ing if you look at the 2 diffrent brands they are diffrent. There not carbon copies of each other.

If I could find a picture of the laegers i would post it up.

I've been told that those ball joints are strong as hell. Also heard of people bending frames before the ball joints bend. That's a well made ball joint!!! Almost to well made........

For the record, those Laeger Balljoints are the best around and I actually prefer them to the heim joint setups some other manufacturers use. Both the JB and Laeger arms are top notch, but no they are not carbon copies of each other they are different. I would get the Laegers over the JBs though if it came down to it.

Jody said that his ball joints differ from Leager in that he reams his out a little for more mobility. Also his bushings are o-ring sealed an don't have grease zerks (unless he changed them within the last year). I've run them on my 250R for two years now and no problems and the bushings are still tight (although I don't ride a ton).

The Houser and JB are both very good products. You see Houser more at GNCC's then MX. You won't go wrong with the JB or Laeger for MX. Anybody have a picture of the LT Laegers?
