I know this quad I have has a big bore kit but unfortunately I don't know what. I bought it used from the dealer with the mods already performed and the salesman didn't know what all had been done to it but assumed it had a 440 kit.

Is there any way to tell what big bore kit was used without yanking the motor apart? I know this motor has been taken apart because it has the liquid gasket on the head. It also has way too much torque to be a 400cc motor.

This motor makes REALLY strong bottom end torque and is really strong in the mid range. It starts to taper off in the top end of the rpm range.

you would need to pull the head off and measure the piston or bore to know for sure.

the tapering off up top could be from jetting, cam choice, pipe, gearing, etc.
