That's a hella lift cam you got there. Next time you assemble it, check the piston to valve clearence before you ride it. A new cylinder and head shouldn't help anything unless you shaved something.

the problem is when i bought it it had the cam and big bore kit and i dont know if anything was shaved or not im gonna try stacking base gaskets and get the thickest head gasket i can find

i was also thinking about going with a different cam any suggestions ?

I had the Hot Cam stage 2 in my 416 and loved it, and it didn't give me any problems...I will suggest that;)

Your probably floating your valves. Have you been putting stiffer valve springs in there? If not do it.

Been down this road once. This time do Modeling clay test with your motor when assembled. To check clearance between valves
an piston. And if you have too make the pockets bigger in the piston. Then there is no problems.:macho
