I'm happy with the #40 i run in mine ;)
I don't think it will help you on power but it makes starting alot easier.

It shows in your sig you are currently running a 42 pilot? If you are running the stock 38, I would go to a 42.

Are you having problems starting or w/ low end jetting? What's your reason for wanting/needing the change the jet? Just curious.

Stick with the stock and turn your air screw out 2 1/2 turns.

How do you feel the quad is running? Is it sluggish from idle? Need a description of the problem to help out man!

it definetly feels a little sluggish in the launch. has the torque you can feel it for sure but doesnt feel like its enough with what i got done.. pulls super hard at mid and top end range though .. still loses to a stock z by a length or so

Because you already have the 40, throw it in and see what kind of improvement you have. I think it would benefit you more putting in a 42, but every bike is different.

What size main jet are you running?

go smaller on that mainjet. it should run much better. i wouldn't go over a keihin 160, and that is with the air box lid off.
