heat sheild

has anybody painted their heat sheild and if so with wat and how well did it hold up thnx

yeah I painted mine when I still had my 400, I just took all the paint off the old one and sprayed hightemp engine paint on it, held up real nice.

On my 450r I bought a powdercoated one off ebay and thats is real durable.

I spray painted mine with heat paint, faded it from flat black to red, it looked bad arse, because the black was the same color as my header basically and the red was the same color as my HMF/frame/plastic, ext. Try fading some colors that go with your bike and you'll get some good looks, holds up just peachy.-darren
