registering with a bill of sale?

well im gonna go look at some 250sx honda 3 wheelers tomorow, its a good deal for both, but the guy said he bought them with no pink slip, but said that i could register them with his bill of sale, is that true?

Im not sure how it works in cali but in NY it is a ***** to register an atv with a bill of sale. You basically have no proof that it is not stolen or the other person's property to begin with. Basically a bill of sale don't mean ****. But in cali it may be different

thats all we have in mass is a bill of sale, no titles for atv's

my quad registered and insured my old 250 was to i jus took the bill of sale from the dealer to dmv but with the 400 i bought it used i did it thru my friends at CC and they wrote me a bill of sale and i took that to dmv and did the same its good round here cause if u get busted they cant take it but if they do they cant hold it in impound
