the 250EX is a sweet quad dont get me wrong but if i were you i would go with a 400EX or a 300EX because 250EX's dont have an enormus amount of power and you will get bored of it fast. The 400 has pretty good power and a pipe really gets it going. so if i were you i woulndt go for a 250EX. JMO
how old are you? do you have any experience on atv's? what kind on riding do you plan on doing?

i got my 250ex when i turned 12 and am gettin closed to 15 and i am sick of the power. its a great quad and is a mud machine, ive only gotten stuck a few times in the mud with it:blah: easy to wheelie and do doughnuts if u lean a bit. hill climbs easily but it jsut lacks the power i want now so im think im gonna go with a Z400 on my 15th birthday.

I bought one for my son last year. After he rode it for 2 months he wanted more power for the dunes so he learned to clutch on a friends 300ex so i bought him a used 400ex in the fall and is doing great on it. he is 5'2" and 100lbs. Everyone likes riding the 250ex it is fun in the woods, has power and isn't too wide for the narrow trails. So it realy depends on what you plan on doing with it.:p
play safe
ride safe
good luck
