I need help..... when riding my 00 440EX for a few minutes it will start to backfire/cutout and it won't start for a few minutes....WHAT could this be from??? any suggestions will help me. PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP.

Sounds like you left your choke on.

thanks for the reply, but its not choke.....could it be the rev limiter? cdi? carb? i need help fast... thanks

Check to see if the oil tank line is clogged

Your bike backfires when your jetting is wrong, rejet your carb and clean it out real good.

i would replace the plug and take the carb off and clean the heck out of it. rejet if necessary.

if its not the carb, could be electronics, most likely the stator
