????? Did they say it was your fault? I would think your factory warranty would cover this. If not, I would be writing some letters to Honda.

i did use honda oil so i is my fault and they will not touch it cuz i broke the warrenty buy using a different oil

oh well

and would it be be cheaper to mke it a 416 or

Thats exactly what I was thinking.
You didn't happen to hit any jumps with rocks on the landings this time did you?

No offense... but the way you sound in your posts... seems like your the kind of person that doesnt take care of your quad too much. After reading things about your warrior... I would have to say that either you have really bad luck or you just need serious help in routine maintenence....

sam the brave

i am just having bad luck

plus i just built a 20 fot table and cleared a place for a track and just spent some money on riding boots and got nothing left
for the motor rebuild

and the dealer ship said 2 grand

and is it cheaper to rebuild it or have a 416 kit put in

You still never answered the question about the warranty. First you say its under warranty but then you say it costs you 2 grand...

Cheaper to sell your 'quad', and take up writing fiction stories... ;)

Something here is BS. If you are telling the truth, go to a different dealer. You do not have to go through the dealer you bought it from for warranty repairs.

well i am bring it on tuesday to a shop to be looked at and see how much i need to fix it

2 grand to rebuild a stocker. thats a load of BS on someones part. i could take a blown stocker and rebuild it and go back with a lot of after market parts and get a whole hell of a lot more power out of it over stock for 2 grand.

one other thing..... did you by any chance break it in with synthetic oil?

i just put in a 416 (je 10.8:1), hotcam 2, port and polish, new valves and valve seals, and a few other things for about half of what ur talkin about.

you are making no sense at all.

2k to repair a motor that was smoking? **** no. If the motor was smoking then at MAX the dealership would charge about $400 to do a topend including labor and all parts (thats what it was to get my warrior bored, new valves and seals, new piston and rings and install)

you said it was smoking.

The only way i would ever think 2k in motor work is if you threw a rod through your cylinder or something grenaded in your bottomend, besides that your full of bs.

And using a different oil then HONDA oil voids the warrenty....sure it does. And even if thats the case take it to another dealer. Are they going to take a sample of the oil and send it to a lab to get tested to see if it is actually honda oil:huh ...dont think so:o

As long as the oil you used passes the standard contents it dont make any difference what the name brand is

dude you said in your other thread that you drained the gas and it was fine, now you say cuz of a lil smoke your motor blew up wtf?

sam the brave
10-12-2004, 03:52 PM

woah woah woah woah....slow down there killer.

Im still lost here. Can you define "blown" in your case. If the dealer just said its "blown" then ask him exactly what when wrong, cause there is no way.

in my dictionary it means, it all of a sudden stopped working, like the valve shot through the piston, or the rod shot through the block,

Guys, this guy has to be full of it.. In my opinion I think the valve seal are going bad.. It cant be blown up.. I mean come on now.. If a ring was broke or the wall was scored, it would smoke all the time.. All this guy prolly needed to do was pull off the head and have the head re-done.. BLOWN UP.... :huh .... He is just wants lots of attention on the page... He makes it sound like,, if a spark plug fouls then its blown up... Crazy people,, I had a bent rod in my motor and it still ran like a champ.. Burnt VERY little oil and no internal damage.. Thats my 2 pennies...
