I have a 400ex, i want to go bigger. alot of people have 416's and 440's. what is best? i do trail ridig and like to go all out. I want reliability. any suggestions? I started leaning towards a wiseco440 stage 1 cam. Already have a open air box, wb e series exhaust rejetted carb, k&n(soon to be replaced with a uni) and regeared.

I would recomend going with a 416/426. Alot of people say 416 is better becuase when you go with a 426 your cylinder wall is thin wich is 120mm over. But dont worry people over exagerate. Ive seen people having their 426 for over two yrs. No problems. i would recommend some air scoops though. Also you might as well get a cam. If your looking for a place to get your motor built pm me. I live close to you in Lockport 20mins away from Chicago.

I would go with the 416 or 426 for a couple of reasons. 1 it will rev faster than the 440, and 2 its more reliable. Also with your cam selection, I recommed going with the hot cam stage 2. Bumping up your compression and bore will make up for the top end, and the stg. 2 will let your motor rev much much faster. Great cam imo.
