View Full Version : PEP, TCS or ELKA

ok guys i race mostly flat track but i do right MX w/ my buddys so i'm looking for a shock that i can adjust ride hight. everyone i right w/ swears up and down about PEP, but i heard good things about TCS. What is you guys opions on what sould get and be the cheapest?

also what does ZPS and SSD stand for and is there any difference between the 2?

PEP has the Zero Preload System. Elka is the Self Sagging Device. All that it means is the springs are more or less the same length off the shocks as they are on the shocks. ZPS shocks can adjust the ride height without changing other aspects of the shocks. I run PEP and am a person who swears by them but I had TCS on my 426ex, and they were awesome. If you are going standard travel then I would go with the TCS probably, they are 145 cheaper than PEP zps.
