Has anyone had any problems with their frame breaking on the KFX400 or the swing arm breaking? because my friend said that they are bad for that? also he said that the govener on it has bad wiring? all i do is a little a track riding, alot of trail riding and a bit of hill climbing is a KFX built as good as a 400ex for this stuff? cuzz i kinda want reverse

there was frame and swingarm problems in the most if not all '03s. they are fixed on the 04 and 05s tho. i have a 03 and i mainly trail ride and i haven't had any problems yet. it should hold up as long as your not doing any big jumps. they are a great machine.

I've got 2 buddies of mine. One has a Z and the other has a KFX.

The guy on the KFX never rode his too hard, but the guy on the Z did. Either way, they never had any problems other than the Z blowing it's engine.

the biggest jumps i hit are 30-50ft are those to hard on the frame and swing arm? oh ya and a 3 1/2 single lol are they good for hill climbing?

they are good for climbing hills. Not as good as a predator but they are still reall good for hills.

I personaly have heard nothing of there being wireing problems being a common fault in them.

im 6'0 and 291 lbs and i jump my 300 all the time, not super high i might add but dammit why all the frames breakin. i will never own anything but honda

The weak frames are a known issue, and you can either get a gusset kit, or they make a bolt on reinforcement for the front. My buddy has it on his 03 Z and has had no problems. The reinforcement isn't that expensive, and well worth it in the long run over a broken frame.
