My brake petal has been sticking for awhile now and today when I tried to take it off and grease it, I can't get the durn thing off. All of the clips are off as is the rear master cylinder. I tried to beat it out with a hammer but there isn't much room to work with. Any ideas? It's never been off before and I haven't put any heat on it yet.

dont heat it pri it off with your hammer and be e-z on it so you dont muss n-e thing up and it will come off. i did this on mine about 2 waek"s a go.

I tried to pry it off to no avail. I put monkey pee all over it to loosen it up but that didn't help much. It still won't come off.

Heat it up and keep working on it.

I had the same thing happen to me. My rear brakes completely locked up. It took me several hours of just working it up and down, back and fourth before it ever came out. Now I make sure I take it out every once in a while to grease that hole.

This thing is really pis***g me off. I have heated it and even got out a crowbar and pryed and beat on it. I got it to come out 1/16 of an inch but it is still stuck in there. Damn!

Finally got it off after about 4 hours total. I used WD40 for the first 3:45 then went to the store and bought some PB Blaster stuff. Came out pretty fast and easy then.

Congrats! I know the feeling when it finally comes out. Then when you get it all cleaned up its hard to believe it was stuck that bad. Now just make sure you use some BeliRay waterproof grease on it every few weeks.

Same thing happened to me, toasted a brand new set of pads in less than ten minutes:mad:

It took me quite awhile to get the lever out too. Just kept spraying it with WD-40 and working it up and down while applying outward pressure.

I think this is a good location for a zerk fitting like some of the aftermarket swing arm bolts;)

my pedal is doing the same thing, if i sit on it and tap it down, it sticks down and its hard to push in nuetral but it comes right back up if i pull it up with my fingers. still very annoying. is this what was happening with yours?

Yes, this was what was happening with mine. Sounds like yours needs greased too.
