ok i just installed my new cam and used blue locktite... generously. does anyone think i should pull it out and put red locktite (the next stronger kind) on it? :(

I used red but I'm not sure about the blue, I know the red is for higher heat but i'm not sure if the temp would exceed the limits of the blue. I doesn't seem as if it would but i'm not an engineer.

Guys the blue locktite is for bolts that need to come off from time to time. The red locktite is for bolts you very rarely take off. As for using a lot of locktite, blue or red, make sure that both surfaces are good and clean is more important than amount. I us brake cleaner for clean up, dries fast with no residue, be careful around painted parts.

VERY good point!! You only need a drop but the threads must me clean. You get alot of unlike metal corrosion in the threads
