Can I remove my balancer?

I have a 400ex and I was wondering if I got my crank blalanced could I run it without the balancer?

Single cylinder engines are inherently unbalanced and can only be balanced close to a certain RPM. The counterbalancer spins in the oposite direction and opposes the cranks cycling motion, making it much smother!
