Dust in Intake

Well I pulled the white brothers filter that was went to me with my e series pipe off my ex tonight and low and behold there is dust all in my intake tube. I didn't oil the filter before I put it in but I have never had this problem before though. The bike isn't smoking or anythign like that Do I need to run the metal thing that goes inside the filter do you think that my dust problems are from not oiling the filter?

Oil it and put the cage in for support. The dust is from not being oiled.

Yep, filters don't filter without oil.

wow why would u not oil your filter that is why the dust is in there

Also put grease around the filter were it slides into the boot.....;)
