what would i have to do to make the red hubs on my 400ex black?

Can the factory red be stripped off with out bead blasting..?

You could get some paint stripper or sand it off by hand too.But beadblasting is the easiest.

Bead blasting would be the way to go but due to time constraints that isn't an option right away... I just don't want to have red hubs on my blue and white quad :blah:

yea my friend has a sand blaster, will it work to get the red off? and then i can take it to a powdercoating place and make them black?

Absolutly. Remember to remove the bearings and seals from the fronts before stipping and sending off to the PC'r.
