2005 450r are faster then 2004

I heard that honda changed somthing in the motor on the 2005 450r s and are hands down faster then the 2004 s. I did not beleive him so I call the dealer and hade them look at all of the part number's and compair them.They tell me thay are the same.This weekend I will race one and see.The person that told me said it was a compleatly stock 05 450r and was beating everything from piped YFZ to piped 04 450r's in a drag race. I DONT KNOW I think HONDA is hiding somthing.

My '05 seemed to run better than my '04 ,but the pipes were different,HMF on the '04 and Yoshi on the '05. That could have been the difference.

i love my 450r but if a stock 450r outruns a piped yfz then the dude with yfz should either
a - lose 300 pounds
b - get something like a 250ex that he can shift and not worry about a clutch
c - get a yamaha he can handle, perhaps a blaster

yea , since there is no changes other than the color, i think that this guy may be right... cuz we all know that different colors on cars, and the colors of the decals change the performance.... lol.... i think this guy shoulda read up on the 05 before posting something so stupid...LOL

Not complete garbage but it doses show the scratched better. Mine is more of a flat black now not a glossy black.

ok ok i got it..... the black ones are faster, but the red ones handle better!
