YES I DID A SEARCH. l.o.l.
Okay I have 2002 300ex. The previous owner said it was bored, with a mild cam, rev box,etc by TMM. I have been running a 155 main, with a pro circiut T-4 slip on with factory header. All was well, never saw the stock pipe glow probably from all the rust and crud on it.
Anyway I put a T-4 head pipe on and went to a 165 main jet, no lid, well I ran it a 1/4 - 1/2 throttle sitting still for maybe 30 - 45 seconds and the pipe glowed red. I no that no wind to cool etc. I checked my plug and if anything it is borderline rich. AM I just freaking over the glow for no reason? I no the plug tells the tale, which is correct maybe even a little rich jetting.
I just never saw or paid attention to the stock head pipe. If it is a little rich what harm can it do?
Trying learn I know peeps here know more, just trying to be safe and not toast anything.
Thanks for your replies.
