I WANT TO PUT A WIDER AXLE ON THE REAR OF MY 02 400EX AND WAS WONDERING IF THE STOCK AXLE CARRIER WITH ALL BALLS AXLE BEARING WOULD BE OK? OR SHOULD UP GRADE THE CARRIER AND BEARINGS?? WHAT IS THE BEST AXLE AND ALSO WHAT CARRIER SHOULD I USE IF THE STOCK IS NOT UP TO PAR?? I PLAN TO START RIDING MX NEXT YEAR .......IF THAT HELPS !!

Lonestar and RPM are good axles with good warranties
as for the carrier it is not a have to up grade as long as the carrier is in good shape, I would inspect the bearing and replace them if needed.

thank you silverfox for your imput . i'll check out these axles. as for the carrier i just replaced the bearings so i should be good to go.

Doesnt the Burgard dual carrier come with a grease zerk in it?

Most aftermarket carriers do...
