Maybe shave the fenders or get some graphics and a seat cover... always makes em look purdy

id say take off the headlight unless you need it or replace them with fog lights that are meant for a car take all that plastic crap off the handle bars and if you have stock rear tires i suggest replacing them with an aftermarket tire to get rid of the ugly balloon shap and give you better handling and hookup. graphics and seatcovers etc etc

I'd get a bumper, some back tires, clean up the handlebar area, and maybe some nerfs. If you want, you could put a 250r hood on it to relocate the light, like i did. Makes it look a lot meaner and better i think. You can get a maier for about 30 bucks.

drifterx, if your 300EX is yellow with the black 250R hood/headlight, I've seen it. It's one of the nicest mods I've ever seen on a 300. Very clean, very "factory" looking.

Hey! Is this it?

Now that is what honda should do with their 300. Props to who ever did that :eek2: :macho

get some tires/nerfs/bars/filter and run it without an air box lid......those are all pretty cheap mods...

Hey ya, thats mine. Thanks a lot for all the good comments! I appreciate it! 300expat and pvt. maggot did it before me. I really think it looks a lot better, doesn't look like so much of a little kiddie quad anymore. Best appearance mod i've done, hopefully i'll have more to come! Heres some newer pics with my razr's on, and a few more stickers. Thanks again guys! :D

Just purchased a 2002 300ex, yellow and black..think its cool except for the stock look, lol. Nice conversion with yours, but one quick question for ya...Did you purchase just the hood from Maier, or fenders, hood both? Also is that the original headlight, and what of the reverse and neutral indicator lights? keep em or trash em?

any feedback appreciated:devil:

Thanks again for all the comments guys! All i ordered was a 88-89 Maier 250r, stock style hood off of rockymountainatv.com, just a hood, you can still use the stock fenders. It only costed about 30 bucks. Ya thats the origional headlight, you can use the hardware thats on the origional light, i used some washers and stuff too. I also kept my neautral and reverse lights, i mounted the with a zip tie between the brake reservoir and the bar on my handlebars, it works pretty good. If you need any more help with mounting or anything, just pm me, i'd be happy to help. ;) And I think you can put about any plastics on a 300ex, but you have to rig up some mounts for them.

No i don't, sorry man. I took those with my buddies digital camera. It took about an hour to take the stock hood and headlight crap off, and put the new one on. You do have to cut the tank plastic, the black part, in the front to clear the headlight, and just mount it where you can on the plastic, using the Maier hardware included. I cut the rear tabs off my new hood, and mounted the back right under the headlight, but you could leave the tabs if you wanted. If you need any help, pm me, i'd be happy to help! :macho
