Just read the dirtwheels article on the big gun kit. please help me :)

I am missing that punch with my bike. The smooth power is nice and all but for some of the tracks we ride I miss it ALOT. Wondering will a HRC cam and a 13:1 piston give me what I am missing?
Should I just suck it up and basically do what they do in that article?
What they do is about exactly what Nmotion does.

get the 13.5:1 and a race ported head, the hrc cam is good and sparks ignition kit should be good, or buy a yfz why do you need a punch? I love the power on the 450, but i race XC so its real nice.

wtf why haven't you put a cam in it? your pipe is the other problem its made to smooth the power out.:rolleyes:

try the hrc kit first and then if it still fells to smooth then you might look in to another pipe, do you have the torque range modifier in it, if so try it with out it.

Yes I do have the TRM installed in it. Thanks will try that I appreciate it.
When I first got the bike I thought all I would do is ride trails now all I do is ride MX tracks so I need a little more punch. Thanks again.

the cam will give you the quick revs that you need for the track, it will take away a little off the bottom end but it gives you a whole lot more in the mid to upper rmp range.;)
