thats a very trick tecate 3.it was built by a guy in califronia about 10 years ago,and it's powered by a kx 500 motor with fuel injection very trick machine.but i don't think it would do well on the motocross track.

Well we all have our opinion and a Tecate is a very unique machine but It wouldnt be a choice of mine. he does have the bike looking sweet though!!! I have really tried to stay away from the "check out my bike cause its the nicest on here" attitude because it was causing me to have enemies and Im a very nice guy and just here to learn, help people when I can, and just have fun and dont want anybody mad at me for what i say!

Are you sure you tried to "shy away" from the ...here's my quad, handle bars, gas cap, my new truck, motor mounts, powdercoating, brake lines, shock wears, wheels and tires, plastic.....hahahahaha.......I had a migrane from all your pics the last time you tried to "shy away" from tooting your horn about yourself.........lol.........JIM

I just found it humorous that Chad would say something about killer being fond of his Tecate4 when Chad is probably the bandwidth king as far as fuzzy pictures of his toys goes..........: ) JIM

Mr.Banshee go for the cannondale, you won't be dissappointed.i just bought the moto the other day.
the cannons have a different feel to them when they are pushed hard.i think it may be becuase of the ridgid frame which is a good thing they just feel different fromn anything else i have ever ridden.but they have a lot of snort for a fourstroke and so far i'm pleased with mine.
i only have about 2 hours on it so far but they been pretty slow hours just cruising the track breaking it in.i got in it a little to clear a couple doubles ,i just couldn't resist the temptation.
i wanted to see what the suspension is all about.i've ridden a few other cannons and they are all pretty nice machines.i just don't care for the looks .
i only bought cause i thought it was the best fourstroke i coulb buy that would be race ready without alot of extra money dumped in it.sure i'll still have to drop a few bucks in it to make the way i want but no where near what i would a 400 or a raptor.
anyway good luck with your purchase i'm sure you'll be content with just about any of them .they are all pretty good machines.
if i was just gonna trail ride i would get the 400ex.

People like you that take the time and money to bring a bike like that back to life. I have a 400 that I have thrown some money at like alot of people here have done. But I love to see you guys that restore Trik out and ride older bikes.

Just MHO.

Hey Everyone!

I have had my eye's on this forum for a lil while. I finally decided to join. My Tecate is about to be done with its rebuild. I have been working on it for about a month. I will post pictures soon. I would like to introduce myself, I'm Blake. I'm 15. I live in central illinois. I have a 1988 Tecate-4 with some mods. This is the first Tecate I have ever had, but I have rode dirtbikes and fourwheelers since I was nine.
