On my 400ex sometimes when trying to shift from 2nd to 3rd it wont shift. It only does this when drag racing and it is not all the time that it happens. It does it both using the clutch and not using the clutch. it only happens when drag racing. In the woods and just normal riding it works fine. Yesterday a riding buddy and I swapped 400's for a while the first thing I noticed is his shifted alot smoother than mine (through all the gears) after we switched back he also remarked that mine seemed harder to shift than his. It will go through all 5 gears the only occasional problem is 2nd to 3rd. I do regular maintence on it and the oil is fresh. it is the mobil 1 red cap. I know that is not the issue...... any ideas?
