some of our squad is going down as well, but me and dan wont be making it that weekend. we are shooting for the weekend of the 21st. thats if my house doesnt get done and we start moving in.

Yep, that's when we are going! I guess there are some dudes from the HQ going that weekend also. Are you guys tentatively planning on coming Thursday or Friday?

nice pics all mixedup!! what kind of camera did you use for those pics? my wife has a digital cam but somehow the shutter speed dosnt do real well with pics of motion. we are going back halloween weekend, she says she has the camcorder figured out so you can still frame the video and convert it to pictures. everytime we go to little sahara the pictures turn out crappy. we have tried three different cameras including one throwaway from the oasis but it ended up taking the best pics. i will try posting some when she gets home.

well i cant say the camera is mine, its bad habits. hes my uncle and if i remember right the camera was like an $80 cheapo camera but it really does take some awsome shots.

One of the companies that I am envolved with uses digital cameras to document before and after conditions of job sites. When you have 16-20 crew members taking pictures, dropping the cameras, and throwing them in service vehicles, well, lets just say we go through alot of cameras. :rolleyes: We always buy cameras that are discontinued models and never pay over $100 for one. One reason for doing this is because we know that the camera will not last longer than 6 months for one reason or another and we try to keep our costs down as much as possible. In my experience, Kodak's always seem to take the best pictures over every other brand that we have used and as the price of the technology has come down, some of the cameras we get take some very detailed and vivid pictures.

Here's a good example of the color and detail quality, and this image resolution was dramatically reduced to make the file only 55kb. The original picture is 1184x888 and much more detailed.

Shes the craziest girl i know, she rides with me alot and loves it when i wheelie, shes never told me to slow down or anything, its like go faster, jump it, wheelie up that hill again, very fun to have on the back, can basically do everything i do by myself with her.

That's exactly how it is, the only other problem besides her bf is the fact she is 2½ hours away. The best part is though, she lives with my best friend (its her cousin) so when i go on a dune trip with them (i make every single one, how could i miss it ?) I always get to see her, and she rides with me basically the whole time there, over 4th of july weekend we rode about 26 hours, she was on the back for 22 of those hours :devil: and it was fun!



Sm0k3d, How do you like florence ? I have never been there. I hear they are pricks about sound, and stop in the middle of trails and anyone who comes through has to get checked? If you have been to the Hauser/horsefall/spinreel dunes, how does florence compare ? also you gotta get some pics of the sandrail wheelieing! I got to ride in one that wheelied and it was a blast!

Hahaa.. Let me tell you, i've been to sandlake (3rd pic with the wheelie), Florence, and Winchester bay. Winchester has some big hills I give them that.. BUT..

Florence is just ALL out, TONS of trail riding.. a SCHIT load of razor backs, and the tree islands are AEWSOME! Some, the side of comp hill is one of the friggin steepest climbs there.. we were in a friends rail with a highly built 2332cc type-4 motor pulling wheelies up it doing 180's at the top. The motor in my rail (the one pictured) is an OLD 1835cc with small carbs.. couldn't pull wheelies. But my dad just built a 1915cc with all the goodies on it, 8 dowl crank, 94mm pistons, tapped for full flow, tru'd valve and in hemi cut valves, we will be in Florence December 26-29 and in Winchester Bay spring break April 2-10

Here's whats been done to it.. full drag port, boysen cr250 reeds, 39mm carb, cool head, custom shaped dome to my motor (professionally done by a known name.) K&N, fmf fatty, shaved head.. Had a cr250 gasket on it running 215lbs compression but switched to a stocker and now im at 175lbs. Runs VERY hard. And it's for sale!! :eek2:

Btw, about your questions.. Twice i've been to florence and both times they have been sketchy about noise, they DO NOT like LOUD bikes.. my bike is too loud (never took it there) So i'd have to make a turn down to quiet it down. They have been known to stop people on main trails and check them as their going out to ride... Sometimes their nice, Sometimes their *******s.. Don't rev your bike in the parking lot!
