View Full Version : Installing new QT seat cover should I remove the old one first??

hmm, i never thought of putting another seat cover over an old one.... i bet it would work though.:confused: if you have enough slack in the other seat cover. i dont know if it would wear from the inside of the aftermarket seat cover.

I've left the old seat cover on in the past, but it never seemed right. The half dozen or so since I've always removed it. Any instructions I've ever seen for installation always said to do so. Besides, if your old cover is in good shape you could keep it for a back up, or set up a friend who,s seat is in worse shape than yours. :)

I've put a new seat cover over an existing one before. As long as you have enough slack you should be fine. When you put it over an existing one it makes the seat a little more firm. On my raptor my seat foam was too soft. With the new cover on top of the old one it firmed it up a bit..... Just something to think about. ;)

Thanks, glad you like it! I would also take it to an upholstery shop and have them put it on. It doesn't cost much and they can do a much better job than I've ever been able to do. Oh, and thanks for sending the $ too!
