alright. im havin a problem, and maybe you guys can help.
i got a port&flow, an 11:1 high compression piston, a hotcam, & a dial-a-jet for my EX. i already had a White bros e-series slipon, w/a w.b. rev box. a few other mods(clutch springs&plates, air scoops) but now its not doin so good. im havin some serious problems: i was beat in a drag by a basically stock EX . needless to say, im pissed. i was just wondering if anyone had any tips or ideas on what to do to fix this problem. after already putting this much money into the bike, im ready to whatever i can to fix the problem

most likely its going to be your gearing....

14 countershaft sprocket and a 36 rear sprocket..try that

dude i dont think you really provided us enough info for us to figure out whats wrong with your quad...all you said was u got beat

cant win them all anyhow

something as simple as a holeshot could have lost that race for you...maybe its something simple maybe the guy is a better rider

if this was a multiple choice answer my answer would be

(E. Not enough info provided to solve problem)

^^lmfao.
yeah you should of beat him with what you have if indeed that guy had a stock 400. but if you have stock gearing it could have been a holeshot that lost it for ya, or lack of ridding skills. if you had the right gearing it would help a lot and be a little more forgiving on the ridding skills. with all that stuff done to it, you might even be able to go with a 15t front procket. it sounds big but thats what my uncle runs on his 416 and hes running right next to 450r's. he has trinity port work, the 11:1 JE piston, web 450/451 cam, 39mm fcr carb, and sparks x6 exhuast. and he still has a lot of torque with that 15t front sprocket.
