I know this is a dumb question, but why does the 400ex have dual exhaust ports?

Lets just put it this way...its a 400, and the head pipes are the same diameter as the Raptor 660....Must tell you that they flow pretty good on the 400;)

the 400ex has 4 valves in the head, two intake, two exhaust, and they just made one pipe for each exhaust valve
