We went to limerock connecticut today to watch the races because my uncle and his friend were racing.. I managed to snap a few shots, nothing great because I was on crutches :o .....


Heres the car he was racing...open wheeled

These cool little things are powered by 2 stroke rotax engines similiar to engines found in 2stroke snowmobiles/jetskis. They were getting up to around 95-100mph on the straights (its a road course).

Heres another class... another open wheeled one. They are powered by 4 cylinder VW bug engines :p .

These guys had a great battle too. Pretty quick for a v4

Heres another class with a lot of different kinds of cars. The car in first was my uncles old VW rabbit that he sold probably 10 years ago. Still running strong but he had some difficulties towards the end of the race

What kind of engines are they running?? Looks like some Rotax engines out of a sled . I'm contemplating getting into Kart racing if I cannot race ATV anymore . A buddy I work with just sold his '03 YZ 125 and got into shifter karts and they look fun as hell . Now these larger one's look even funner.

Im not really sure on that one but I always thought mx and atving was an expensive sport but I guess I was wrong :eek2:

yah i know what you mean my friends dad used to race stock cars but he stopped because it was so expensive to keep the car running and buying tires all the time

Also, awesome pics! Looks like fun, i would love to race a road course, i think i rather race like Le Mans or something though. Although those open wheeled, 2 stroke cars looked pretty sweet!

The guy on the right worked as one of the head cleanup men at the world trade centers after 9/11. He operates a crane. The guy on the right is a very good carpetner and travels all over the east coast doing projects. The guy in the back I dont really know and the girl is my cousin. Maybe next time you wil keep your thoughts to yourself...
