Today a freind and i where riding on a local MX track, and after a few hard laps my Buddies 450r started poping and cracking, and didnt run good at all, and there was a bunch of oil in the airbox, Anyone else had this problem???

hmmm, sounds like oil came in through the vent tube and, it must have been alot because thats what probably caused the popping, im guessing the oil got throught the filter and into the intake, wont hurt anything, just not fun, im not an expert on the new 450s, maybe someone else knows more:confused:

oil in the airbox is a sign of too much blow by in the cylinder, time for a rebuild

Are u sure he knows how to oil an airfilter properly. Could be too much oil on filter or too much oil in crankcase

That complety true!!! LMAO , WE thought that it was the crankcase ventalation tube sucking up that oil when we where jumping threw the jumps, But we dont really know, He pulled the plug out and it was BAD!!, Changed it out, and is good to go!!!
