new plastic idea-

Hi, so I was at a local track, and, well I guess the 70 foot table was a bit harsh on my stock rear plastic and it cracked a lot on the left side(looking from the rear, you can see some of the crack in the pics), so I thought, eh what the hell, it's no use to sell and I'll be replacing the plastic sometime anyways, so I cut the rear, a lot, heres some pics, tell me what you guys think of my 416's new look.

It's different, just watch your feet getting too far back on the pegs. How do you like the dual oil coolers? Notice a difference?

thanks, the dual oil cooler seem to have helped, seems to let out quite a bit of more oil heat, and in turn a little engine heat... so its well worth the 40$ I made it for:) -darren

what did you use to cut it? I am thinking about doing mine b/c mine are all screwed up and I will be ordering new ones.

I think you're going to get real dirty anytime it's wet out. Now you have front AND rear tires flinging crap on you.

What I use to cut it? I used the blade only, of a metal cutting hand saw(the "P" shaped ones), you would think the blade wouldcut up your hands but it dosnt at all, and I marked off the line with electrical tape. To make that nice edge, sand it down a while with a 80 grit block sander(foam block, with sand paper on the outside). Then use a propane torch to basically barely melt the rough edge, it takes a little time to figure out what heat you need but it's pretty easy, start low. About the getting dirty thing, I've ridden quad for a good 4 years, I'm used to it:blah: , if someone is skeerd of gettin a little extra mud on themselves they can always stay home:D -darren

pretty pimp but id be scared to let it all hang out on there! knowing me id hit a bump in a power slide and my *** would be on the tire and i know first hand that that doesnt feel good haha
