Anybody ever hear of these? Only $200 for a brand new adjustable. Sounds pretty good to me.

For $130 more you can get a LSR with a lifetime warranty.

thats not really all that much better financially if you weigh the cost of another g force as compared to a straightened axle that wobbles more then rico on the way home from the titty bar:D

you will never completely straighten a bent axle out. It will never be as true as it first came.

I bought one, I'll post back what I think when it comes in...

Rocky Mountain site was easy to use, nice updates on when the product shipped.

Anyone here where these are made? Ad say's they're the exclusive US distributor...

So far it has held up to the jump that bent my stock a arms and axle. I'm waiting for more parts to try racing the big stuff next week. I'll let you know.

I'll won't get to installing mine for a few weeks. So far I'm not too impressed. Came with a sproket hub, but the seal surface is aluminum, not steel, not stock splines on the sprocket hub and it looks pretty weak, almost looks thinner than the stock sproket hub. Also it's not the same spline as the stock hub, on the sproket side.

As for the axle all the splines are cut, and have lot's of chatter, bearing fits are turned not ground, and the hub's fit with a lot of slop on in the splines. Also the aluminum sproket hub is a slip fit, to me I'd think it would wear out the aluminum splines fast. The Dominator's are a nice press fit.

Maybe I'm being a bit hard cause I think the quality put into making the part relates to how well it's made. We'll see how it performs here shortly..

That's my $0.02.

Im not to convinced about this guys.. the axle is a VERY important area on a quad.. you dont want to go cheap in an area this critical

I bought one and put it on my 250r, looks great, quality is great i am more than happy.

And you cant beat the price.

I d buy it again if i had to do it all over.

another question, does the warrenty cover just one axle for its life time or does it cover the replacement axle if you bend/brake one? i heard the durablue only covers the one you buy.

QuadJunkies:

No I didn't tell them about the fit quality... I figure if someone wants me to tell them how to make something then they can pay for my services.. Be that in other product or actual pay..

Anyway, I've not had time to install this yet, I'll check it out and see how it works.

Does anyone know if the warranty covers the Aluminum Sprocket hub? Does it cover if the seal wears a groove in the hub and startes to leak? I'm not trying to be negative here but even with lifetime warranty, down time for replacing axles sucks! Even if you use the stock as a replacement to keep you going...

When I was at a MX track I was following a full race 400ex that snapped its Durablue right in front of me and I was going the same height with my stock axle. This just shows however much you spend they arent going to be undestructable.

ny300exrider
10-26-2004, 04:27 PM
sometimes you can just land .435324 feet off and it will snap but durablue are know for breaking alot. the g-force is still on my list unless someone posts some feedback that changes me

Just got mine in today. Looks pretty good but the sprocket hub could be a little tighter. Otheriwse can't beat it, pricewise atleast..haven't been able to test it yet.

I got one for my wife's Z400. I drove down and picked it up at RMATV. $199.99 Very nice finish, comes with a aluminum brake hub, aluminum axle lock nut, and all hardware. It installed perfectly, everythng fits great and had zero issues. My 450R is becoming a 500R so I took the Z to the dunes last weekend. I put a good test on it, flat landed a few, did some decent off camber jumps and it never did anythning wrong. It never got lose or wobbled the slightest.
Its no long term test, or a mx type test, but I can say I am VERY happy to pay $200 for it.
