Ummmmmmm... what do i do if i lost my key to my 400???i dont want a new ignition though.

hot wire it. just connect the wires under the key i think. i havnt done it on a 400 but i did it on my old quad when i took the key off. you can still keep the key hole in the plastic to make it look like you need a key so people dont know it doenst need a key.

will it run the battery down or anything by doing that? my friend hot wires his 300 a lot when his mom takes his key and its battery is always going dead.

yeah probably, i didnt think about that. i have never owned a quad with a battery so i guess i just overlooked that. on my old quad it was so easy because the two wires just connected together and you where good to go. you could connect then by just snapping them together but i bet you have to splice the wires on the 400 so you would have to use electrical tape and twist them together everytime.

you could go to a local hardware store and get something for the end of the wires to where you could just plug them into each other each time. then when you werent riding you could just disconnect them.
