When I got my 400ex the chain stayed tight fine. Now that I got into riding it all the time my chain wont stay tight for more then 5 minutes of riding. I changed my bearings so I figured that wasn't my problem. I have a Lonestar Swing-arm on my 400ex also. If you guys have any idea please let me know! Thanks

are you tighteneing your carrier?
after that make sure all your swingarm bolts are tight as well. make sure all of them are as tight as possible.
if it dont work after that i think its time for a new chain.

The only cause would be that for some reason the bearing carrier isnt clamped tight enough in the swingarm.

I had the same problem with my Aren's swingarm. The sleeves that the pinch bolts go through will bottom out, and not allow enough pressure on the bearing carrier. Thus causing the carrier to spin in the swingarm. Solution take a cut off too and make gab a little bigger. Dont take off alot just enough so the 2 pieces dont touch when you tighten down the pinch bolts.

so you're saying there shoud be a gap here when the bolts are tight. that makes sence to me ;)

Make sure your swingarm isn't cracked or broke either. I kept have to retighten my chain, so I started looking at the swingarm and low and behold the swingarm was cracked under the brake caliper. I would check the top and bottom of the swingarm.

on the stock swingarm, there are little rubber pieces that go in those cracks that take up the slack. put those in and you should be ready to ride. and you wont have to hack up your swinger:D

Those "rubber pieces" have nothing to do with keeping your chain tight. They are for keeping water out of you swingarm, bearing carrier.

well idk what the hell was wrong with my swinger then. they got riped up when i changed my bearings in my carrier. i took some off a buddies parts bike. it stayed tight as hell. oh well...
