How is everyone going about cutting their front fenders? What's the best way and how would I get the cleanest result? I've seen a few pics on here and they look awesome. If someone could post up some more up close pics maybe? Just any information would be great.

i used a sharpie to draw where i wanted the cut then used a razor blade just out side of that line. i wet sanded it next till it looked good.

You may want to use electrical tape to make the lines that way you can retape it if you slip. I don't know how easily sharpie ink comes off though.

I think I'm gonna try the razor knife first. It'd be a much smoother cut. And if that takes too long, I'll just hack-saw it. I think a sawzal or a jigsaw would create too much heat and melt the plastic? I don't know. What grit sand paper is the best?

your gonna cut yourself with a razor, the jigsaw works perfect, just use a dry erase marker (or sharpie..it does come off with carb cleaner) and follow the edge around. I've cut a lot of fenders and the jigsaw is the way to go, then use a file to get it smoothed outhttp://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid141/p911c0f765a8ecb34e90d7166faeb984f/f6d3b684.jpg

Use a dremel tool (if you have one) with a cutting wheel that is designed to cut plastic. Dremel makes one and I'm here to tell you it works great! Just draw your lines with a dry erase marker and cut them out. If you cut them a little big at first you can always cut more off but if you cut too much well your kind of screwed. Just make sure you draw what you want. Dremel also makes a brillo type sanding wheel that cleans up the rough edges pretty good also. Good luck

gen x... where you from in jersey? and what hood is that?

I'll try the jigsaw than sand it down. How about using electrical tape instead of a marker? I think it'd be better that way so I don't have to worry about cleaning it off the fender when I'm done. Thanks for all the advice guys

where do you usually ride at? I know a spot in mullica but that's about it. There and atco. Also that address in your sig doesn't work. What does generation x offer?

i raced mt pleasant 2 weeks ago, cool track but it needs a better turnout and we ride at maple pit sometimes, there is a small pit out on weymouth road and a few other places. The site is still not up, but Gen X is going to have hoods for all dif quads as well as bumpers/grab bars/nerfs, and we will also be selling a dual steering stablilizer for some models
