high comp piston

I am planning on putting a 12-1 comp piston in my 91 250x and i was wondering if i need to do any valve work or anything else before i do. I don't really care if its a speed demon, my piston rings went bad and i thought i'd just replace my piston for some better throtle response. My main concern is the piston hitting the valves. Any feedback is appreciated.

I did the 12:1 and even after putting a bigger cam in there was still plenty of room. You will benifit from other mods but you don't need to do them if you don't want to.
