Ever time I loosen the four bolts in the swingarm to adjust the chain, I get alot of water that drains out from around the carrier. is this normal on the 400? is there anything I can do to keep the water out?

are the 2 plugs in the front of the swingarm (up by the motor) still in?

Mine doesn't do that, I don't think it's normal.
I hope there's nothing broken

its going to get in there but it dosent hurt anything, have you ever seen a predator swingarm? they actually cut out the center of the carrier to make the grease fitting easier to get to

my 400ex never did that, But just this last weekend, we tighted my buddies trx450 chain up, and the exact same thing happend, Iono how the water gets in there, but it cant be good on bearing, The only thing i can think of, are thos caps on the end of the swinger!@@

i dont kow why it wouldnt be good for the bearings..the bearings themself are sealed plus the seal that goes on the outside of them..it won't hurt nething
