which to choose

ok if you had a choice between an '05 400ex (red or yellow) or an '05 Z400 (white or yellow) which would you choose?

i am probablly no doubt getting one of these next april for my 15th birthday. i know its kind of a long time away but something to look forward to. i figure my 250 will sell for 1,000 maby a little more and from there on ill jsut make payments and have my parents help me out.

It depends there both great quads, I like the fact that the Z400 has both the liquid and fan cooled engine. And that it has reverse. Nothing big really happened to the 05' 400 except the different plastic so really it's your call.

The z-400 some people say that there isn't much of a power difference between the 2 but the z-400 has quite the noticabley more power.

A year or two ago I would've told you the 400EX without a doubt. But, the Z has proven it's reliability and now comes with piggyback front shocks versus Honda's dated boingers. I just don't really see what the new Honda offers against its competition for the same money.

Now, shave $800 off the MSRP on the Honda and you might persuade not to buy the Z400 instead.

another good point my dad made was that hondas dont have greese zerks and joints n bearings go bad faster and i think suzukis do.
