chain slack

how much slack should i have in my chain?? right now its loose where it hits the bottom of my skin on swinger. would it hurt anything to take that skid off? i do alot of jumping and stuff so im not sure if that matters. thanks

i always went by the 3 finger-width rule. about 2"
