i was wondering how to oil my stock 250ex filter i know on a raptor you can use moter oil will this work on my quad

you're not supposed to use motor oil on any filter. Buy a good filter oil and apply generously.

Ummmmm......Hmmmmmmmmm:confused: :huh Motor oil???? You cant use motor oil on any air filter no matter what bike it is! Use the "air filter oil" that should do the tirck;) .

my brother has a raptor and these are the exact words from his owners manual:apply yamaha foam air filter oil or other quality foam air filter oil to the element if foam air filter oil is not available motor oil may be used: i was going to post a picture of the page but i could not figure out how

Clean the filter. Let it dry. Put it in a plastic zip lock bag and put in some Foam Filter Oil. Squish it all around, make sure all of the filter is covered, add more oil if neccasary. Never use motor oil unless you just have too. As in you were in a place where you had to clean the filter away from home and only have motor oil.

So, are you saying that when you actually broke out the manual, you realized your first post was incorrect?:huh

i dont recommend it. In my owners manual it says NOT to use motor oil.

Dont ever use motor oil it sucks! Always buy a filter cleaner and filter oil other wise you might clog up your filter and ruin it.

I dont know but i hate cleaning my filter..thats one thing i dont like about my cr250, u always got to clean the filter....by the way anybody wanna buy a 97 cr250 in nc for 2500?
