What would I have to do to be able ot keep up with 400ex's on my 300ex? I don't think im going to be getting a new quad so... I'm looking for mods that will keep the reliability of my quad.

I hate to say this, 'cause we own one, but the 300 can be a money pit if you're trying to make it compete with even a stock 400. The only real reason to do it is for class or if you really need reverse.

If your gonna spend the money to make it keep up you may as well just buy a 400.

Just buy my 400ex. It's up for sale man, come on...sell your EX and I'll give you mine for $3500...that's with the +2+1 a-arms and shocks, and maybe for a little more I'll throw in the HiPers and Kendas!

there right, but really it all comes down to what you want, beause when its lall said and done motor work, suspension all cost the same for any bike out there so eventually you'll have a bunch of money wraped up in any quad you buy. a gthunder 350big bore, full race port, hi rev cam and 400ex carb will smoke a stock 400ex and run right with a piped/air filter/jetted one. mod whatever quad you like and stop worrying about catching up with the next big thing!

exactly what i'm saying, you had reasons to witch so you did, but if he likes his 300ex, let him mod it. personly i like the smaller quads alot, you dont see alot of them at the races anymore so its nice to be on something a little different. i had a 350ex and now have a blaster thats wicked, bout to start motor work too and i couldnt be happier

I couldn't agree more! I have a sweet X, and still get people who say sell that thing and buy the 400. If I wanted a 400 I would own one, they are a dime a dozen in these 450 days! But if your not comfortable on a quad, you won't ever be fast on it, and riding ability is half the race if not more, I know my x inside out and have no prob racing with the bigger bikes at the locall tracks.

Enough rambling, Simply pick a quad you like and feel comfortable on and make it scream! ;)
