I have a 2002 300ex. It has stock frontend. I have found +2 A-Arms and a set of works dual rate with rezz. Do the shocks have to be long travel shocks to work with these a-arms? I have ITP T-9 baja rims with the stock set up. I do not think the rims are offset.
Thanks in advance for your help.

u dont need long travel shocks if u dont have long travel a-arms;) The rims dont play a part in the shocks, just how wide it is, since the rim is 5" wide, it has to have some offset, stock is 3-2.

They don't need to be long travel, but they do need to be set up for the wider a-arms

ive got the same scenario myself.. so basically with the works i have right now.. if i buy my +2 arms.. then ill have to have my works re-valved for +2 arms... is this correct? if so how much does a re-valving cost ? just a ballpark figure would be fine with me

not sure how much it would cost, but you are correct. send the shocks to thequadshop to be re-valved for your wieght and riding style. also, you will want a set of 4+1 offset wheels if you trail ride alot. plus 2 a-arms and 4+1 wheels will make your 300ex the same width as a 400ex give or take a half inch
