suspension question

my buddy has elka triple rate elite shocks on the front of his rappy and he doesnt know how to adjust them properly
now i know how to do a search so dont throw that up because i did a search and it didn't give me any good info
actually his question is what nobs adjust what and what does each do?
i dont want to tell him the wrong info so if anyone can help i would appreciate it '
