Rocker arm question

While adjusting my valves (300ex) I noticed the exhaust side rocker arm had more side to side movement than the intake side which had very little side to side movement. Can this be adjusted? Is it normal because of the higher temps on the exhaust side or should I be thinking my rocker is worn and needs replacing?

did you put the timing marks where they needed to be to get pressure off the cam. This could be why exhaust moved and why intake did not. You should turn the cranks to get pressure off all valve before adjusting.

Yes, the timing mark was aligned, and all pressure off valves (no valve contact) set gap to 0.1mm, tightened. I'm talking about side to side movement, rocker arm on its pivot shaft. I should have measured the movement but didn't.
