world record quad..............

On August 1 of this year, Clayton Cook, of Grande Prairie,AB. Broke the world record distance for ramp to ramp quad jumping. We are currently awaiting review of the jump through GuinessWorldRecords, and should know the results in the coming months. News of the jump will be run in the OverTheBars section of dirtwheels magazine in the november issue. Look for another attempt at the record in the spring, where Clayton plans on jumping even further.:eek2:

and when they measure the jump they measure tip to tip, so if you land half way down the landing thats another 10ft at least.

thats cool, i dont know thats not ramp to ramp, i would think ramp to ramp being a ramp jumping onto a ramp made for landing on, not a ramp to a regular old dirt landing, i mean its sick that he cleared it and is gonna do it again even further but i think they are messing up when they say ramp to ramp, they have to have some kind of dirt landing no matter what

ramp to ramp means not a table top, or a down hill dune jump. if you come up short on either of those your still alright.f you come up short on a double, then you have problems.

rumor has it a local simi pro around here has gone 150 ft dirt to dirt no less, aparently it will be in the next huevos or some other video. I did say rumor have not confirmed it yet, will keep you updated!

the biggest jump "unofficially" on a quad was done by matt coulter from huevos grandes and that was 167ft measured. i have plans of going farther then that before the year is over. 200ft anyone??? :eek2:

You are thinking of Klint Anderson and Brock Lyons, Brock cleared 157ft and Klint cleared 160ft, it wasn't ramp to ramp but it was still pretty far. They jumped it while we were filming Carpe Diem (http://www.innervisionindustries.com/products/carpediem.html), it is in the movie.
