Today on my way back from the docator me and my dad seen they were diging along the road. So we stoped and asked them for the dirt and they gave it to us. We got 2 loads of it i wanted to get more because they said that they would bring as much as we wanted. BUt my dad is going to use that to fill in spots in the yard but i don't think he will use it all so i am going to build my jump up after my knee heals. :razz: If it was up to me i would have told them to bring as much dirt as they wanted!!!

that is a good deal, assuming its not full of rocks and such. good topsoil is pretty expensive

i got lucky a few weeks ago too
while i was sitting in math class i looked out the window and
this grading company was digging out underground dugouts for my schools baseball team
after that class i walked out there and asked what they were going to do with the dirt
they said they didnt know and asked me if i wanted any
to make a long story short about a week later(after some work with the tractor) my 35 foot tabletop was now 55 feet and 2 feet taller
i had 2 berms and another set of doubles
i sure am glad i asked

dude that is pretty sweet on gettin some free dirt! but let me tell you it will go fast. we had like 4-6 loads brought to our house for some jumps. we got 2 berms, a set of whoops or rhythm doubles depending how fast you want to hit them, and a 30 ft. double. since then we have put a pool in and had to get a few more loads of dirt brought in to fill in under the pool and then used the rest and took out the whoops and made another 35 ft. double. well anyway good luck!
oh and here are a few pics from back in april of us jumpin the 30 footer right after we got our mini-track finished!

if thats hitting it lucky then i hit it lucky all the time...my step dad works for a construction company, i get all the dirt i want, i get all the heavy duty equiptment i want ( backhoes, trackhoes, trackloaders, rubber tire loaders) we have been clearing the backside of my property i plan on this summer building a mx track back there...right now ive got a small double that we built out of some dirt he brought home for me.
