A buddy of mine will be posting some pictures of the craziest thing I have seen happen at the dunes. The pics are from a couple months ago but they are worth looking at.

haha, ya, i love to watch ppl destroy there rigs, ive seen a toyota pickup jump about 6 feet in the air before off of a dune! Pretty cool watching 3000lbs+ vehicles jump like that. I take it that is at the Oregon dunes ? Which dunes is it ?

We were at driftwood II. They were jumping the hill on the western edge of the big bowl by comp hill. I have some more pics of some guys on dirt bikes getting some sick air also but I haven't figured out how to post pics yet.

For a day trip winchester is my favorite place, but for a weekend I would have to say that I enjoy Driftwood II the best. I will be at driftwood this weekend, plenty of room in the site right now if you can make it.

The sound restriction is 93db. But as long as you are not being stupid you don't have anything to worry about. I haven't seen anybody get a sound ticket there that wasn't doing something stupid in the first place to warrant getting pulled over. You will have to let me know how you like your HMF. I am going to buy the BB HMF this winter. I would like to know what your jetting is when you get the pipe on. And when you get a chance you should definetly check out driftwood II.

THats awesome did the dude ruin his truck
i wonder how it is to land in that thing

The dude that owned the truck drove it off the dunes, minus the passenger side inner front fender, the drivers door wouldn't shut correctly so we figure he tweaked the frame some, and he destroyed the springs in the drivers seat because he was sitting about 4 inches lower than before he started. But other than that the thing ran like a champ when he drove it back off the dunes.

I have to agree, Driftwood II is a great place to camp. Gotta like the new bathrooms with the pay showers.

At Houser we stay at a KOA Kampground (i know its campground but thats how they spell it) They have bathrooms, and token showers...get a token for every night you stay there and for every person! It's nice :), but i need to check out driftwood II, where exactly is it ?

Driftwood II is on the lower part of the Florence dunes.

We stayed at the KOA at Coos Bay earlier this summer. Nice facility, but that ride to the dunes is a pain. Kinda punishing on the paddles.
