Yea we service our shocks every six months. Sometime more often than that depending on how mush pounding they have taken.

You guys shouldn't go by months, but hours. Somebody might ride 3 hours a day, and need a service every month.

I do mine twice a season, depending on how much I ride.

It depends on who you send them to. It will very from shop to shop starting around $40 for the fronts and $40 for the rear on up. It also depends on if you need new seals and other parts or just oil and nitrogen.

k&k did my TCS's, it was like 85 for the front and 65 for the rear, with same day shipping :eek2: . I sent them about 2 weeks ago, and received them yesterday, they still got here in time, through the huricane and all, well packaged return, and great price.

1st and last warning

5. No commercial advertising of any sort, except for advertising for our sponsors/paid advertisers - including banners in posts, avatars, or signature lines, website addresses, phone numbers, or messages (public or private). This includes users advertising for different shops or companies. We enjoy all shops taking part in EXriders but no contact information, including websites or phone numbers. The administrator alone will make the final decision on what is advertising but as a simple rule it covers all retail shops, chop shops, and product manufacturers big and small. Manufacturers are strongly encouraged to post information on their own products, but please no ads or prices. Violation of this rule will result in one warning and then a permanent ban.

I would say i'm overdue also. Heres my question, I know stock suspension sucks, but why can you ride on them forever and never need to do anything to them, and you spend 1000's$$ on aftermarket top of the line shocks and they need rebuilt every 6 months???

10-01-2004, 08:41 PM
The reason is that the old stock shocks weren't rebuildable or servicable at all. The oil in them wore out just like the aftermarket shocks do.
